I managed to get it working in the end, but only with my DVD. I think at least one of these these drivers will help you. I guess you just have to try everything. Oem capture is desribed under sound, video and game controllers but no usb device under imaging device. I have tried most drivers but no luck.
Any recommendations? For updating drivers, there are several ways. You can go to device manger to update the easycap drivers. Use the hardware id to go to pcidatabase. Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated driver, installed the SW.. I tried using a good swathe of the different installers listed on this post but to no avail.

The OEM driver available from Windows is a very recent addition but lacks support for the majority of these variants. However, I cannot find appropriate drivers for these next two:.

I downloaded the software through your site. It is asking me for my product key. Any ideas where to get that for the vhs to dvd application.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your artical! Check what your device outputs and match it, or just go through the dozen-or-so options. I tried hook up my Vcr straight to Tv and I got perfect Picture. I tested with Win xp, Win7 and win 8. Sound is good but picture is shaky, distorted and fluctuates between color and black and white. Tested with ulead recording software and VLC, with numerous VHS tapes and numerous vhs decks all with the same result.
From my initial entry on March 4, at am. Setting up the device failed to make it work. In my unqualified opinion, if it works to convert my precious VHS then its worth spreading the news.

The software does not allow us to change the video aspect and as a result we end up with a picture that stretches from top to bottom of screen, but is only about 30cm wide when we try to playback on our bigscreen TV. Easier Cap DC usbtv on Wimdows I have the software you mentioned Easier Cap DC usbtv and while it does produce both video and audio without problems, there is still an issue with the picture aspect using this driver.
There is no selection for If I change the aspect ratio, then it records audio only and will not record video. I have read from other sights that Easier Cap DC usbtv does not work correctly with anything above windows It also states within the help file that it is not compatible with Vista, Win7 or 8. Hi Graham, have a look again. I downloaded both links. The driver you state are for Windows 8 are for Windows 7 and Vista. I need drivers for Windows 8. When I go to the manual driver 64Bit and click on the application nothing happens. You could also try the Compatibility Mode when using the software. If nothing helps, just update to Windows 10, for me it works flawlessly with it.

The only difference between some of them is how the audio is encoded into it which is irrelevant when you have separate audio cables such as on composite devices. I used OBS to set up the format and PAL system as you have described but then switched to virtualdub because I am more familiar with it.
